My friend Robert Hazboun gave his first Green Gargantua BCM to a friend as a gift, so he needed another one to add to his collection. This one was based off an old movie poster, where greenie is battling the giant squid. Thanks again Robert, you rule!

Furious Bottle Cap Monster

The third installment in my collaboration with John Pelico and his awesome Killer Pumpkins. This is “Furious”, a pumpkin that will surely eat you on Halloween if you get too close! This one was a challenge (as were the others) to paint, trying to get in the minute details that John includes in his digital work. This one will be available for purchase at John’s table at Comic-Con in San Diego this coming July!

Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp style)

Yep, another one for the collection of my friend Robert Hazboun- it’s Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins from the new TIm Burton film “Dark Shadows”. I have not yet seen this movie, so I have no opinion on whether it’s good or not, but I do like the old TV series. I also had a good time painting this one- stayed up late into the morning working on it while watching several episodes of the old Dark Shadows series on Netflix. Erik The Phantom of the Opera

Lon Chaney Sr has long been one of my heroes, and I am still blown away by his insane makeup work even after all these years. Phantom of the Opera is one of the coolest silent films of all time, and I had a blast painting this bottle cap monster!

Zuni Fetish Warrior v2

Trilogy of Terror- that show scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. The Zuni Fetish Warrior stuck in my fertile imagination for years as one of the scariest things I had ever seen. Now days when I watch the show, it makes me laugh, but I tell ya, that was insanely scary to a young kid! This one was a commission for my friend Robert Hazboun and proudly resides in his growing collection of Bottle Cap Monsters!

Boris Karloff as the Mummy

This one was a little intimidating to paint! I was always worried that it would be too difficult to get all the details of the bandages in place at such a small size, but it turned out great! My nephew Jentry Uberti bought this one and was sporting it at Monsterpalooza. He took it to Sara Karloff’s table to show her, and she signed a photo for him that said “Nice necklace!” Nothing like getting complimented on your artwork by the daughter of Boris Karloff! Thanks Jentry!!

Jason Voorhees without his mask is a pretty ugly dude. If I was that ugly I would probably run around with a machete hacking up teenagers at a summer camp also! Ugly or not, I love painting detailed creeps like this in my bottle caps! This one was sold at Monsterpalooza 2012!

Children of the Hydra’s Teeth

Ray Harryhausen is one talented dude. I grew up watching all of his incredible stop motion animation films, and one of my favorites has always been Jason and the Argonauts. Any young kid that saw the scene with these skeletal warriors rising up out of the ground to do battle with Jason will know what I am talking about! My friend Robert Hazboun certainly knows, and he bought this bottle cap monster from me! Thanks as always Robert!!
